Clive helps celebrate Scouts’ centenary

Clive joined with hundreds of thousands of scouts across the world to celebrate a century of scouting.

On August 1st 1907 Lord Robert Baden Powell sounded his Kuru Horn to open the very first scout camp on Brownsea Island off the Dorset Coast. From those humble beginnings the Scout movement has grown and today is the largest youth organization in the world, with 28 million members (male and female) in 216 countries across the globe.

Clive attended a ceremony in Greenwich Park for local beavers, cubs and scouts.

“I was a scout when I was a young boy” explained Clive, “so I was delighted to be invited to join in this celebration. I think those who devote so much of their time to the scouting movement helping organise events such as this are the unsung heroes of our community.”
