Back The Ban

Labour introduced the Hunting Act which banned fox hunting with dogs in 2004 .

David Cameron has promised his backbenchers a free vote to repeal this act and allow hunting once again.  He recently unsuccessfully tried to avoid a full debate by using Parliamentary procedure to water down the Act.

New polls show that 74 per cent of people believe fox hunting should remain illegal.  However, many Tories see this as unfinished business and will try again.

Please sign the petition below to signal you opposition to any changes in the Hunting Act.

I oppose any attempt to water down or repeal the Hunting Act 2008.

Why is Cameron even discussing this? It is animal cruelty. It must be banned.

Thank you for your continued support on animal welfare issues. How can a Government ignore the wishes on 74% of the people it represents. Hunting is barbaric cruelty by people that derive enjoyment from watching and inflicting suffering on animals in the name of “tradition and thrill of the chase”. No-one has the right to cause pain to a fellow creature. We cannot permit a repeal of the hunting ban.

It is my belief that hunting with dogs is another example of the class system in this country and should never be allowed to happen again. Shame on the members of the royal family who have taken part in this
