Clive Efford calls on locals to donate for 2nd helicopter ambulance

london_air_ambulance_infographic.jpgLondon’s Air Ambulance, the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to critically injured people in London, has already treated 38 seriously injured patients in Greenwich in the first half of 2015.  Clive Efford has joined forces with the charity to call on local residents to donate the price of a cup of coffee towards a second helicopter before the ‘Your London, Your Helicopter’ campaign finishes on 27th September.

Clive explains:  "London’s air ambulances rely on public donations.  It is thanks to the support of Londoners that they have raised £4 million of the £6 million needed for an extra helicopter. The helicopter has already helped 38 people in Greenwich this year. A second helicopter will enable them to reach an estimated 400 more patients per year across London by helicopter.  I hope that people will donate the cost of a cuppa to help expand the service."

Graham Hodgkin, Chief Executive Officer at London's Air Ambulance said: “We are so close to getting the second helicopter in the air and I would like to thank Clive Efford for helping us make one last plea to everyone to support the charity during ‘The Big Lift’.”

Donations can be made online at or by Texting HELICOPTER to 70800 to donate £5.
