Clive turns on Eltham's Christmas lights

eltham_lights_up_2016.JPGThousands of people turned out to watch the Christmas lights being turned on at Eltham Lights Up.  The event also celebrated  the 100th anniversary of the birth of Roald Dahl as many of the characters of his books took to the streets of Eltham.

Both Eltham Police Station and Fire Station opened their doors providing festive entertainment to hundreds of local children and their families.  Clive was on hand to turn on the lights along with our Mayor Olu Babatola and leader of Greenwich Council Denise Hyland.

As ever the main attraction was the amazing lantern parade put on by hundreds of children from schools from across Eltham.
