Clive is an active and effective voice in Parliament for his constituents. Below are some of the speeches he has made together with some of the Parliamentary questions and answers he has received.

Speaking in a debate on the Thames Gateway Clive underlined how the regeneration programme was delivering real improvements for millions of people in East and South East England.
He warned, however, that the infrastrucure of the whole area needed to be improved to cope with the extra demands coming from the new developments. In particular he stressed the needs for better transport links for South East London.
Clive used the Thames Gateway debate to call for more affordable rented accommodation.
Clive tackled Tony Blair at Prime Minister's Questions about proposals to restructure primary care trusts
Clive used transport questions to press for increased capacity on local train services, including the promised trains to Victoria via New Eltham and Mottingham.
On 19 July 2005 Clive spoke in a debate on Crossrail. He used this opportunity to press for the service to include a station at Woolwich.
Clive highlighted the shortage of affordable rented accommodation at Prime Minister's Questions
Clive highlighted the work done by Thomas Tallis School in setting up a fairtrade cafe.
Clive congratulated all those involved in the successful London 2012 campaign to bring the Olympics to the capital. He asked for the thousands of young people involved in grass routes sports to be involved as ambassadors for 2012.
Clive used Prime Minister's Questions to highlight some of the improvements coming to Eltham - and pointed out that some people had opposed all of these improvements
In the debate on Iraq before military action was taken Clive stressed his opposition to war without the backing of the United Nations
