Stop Tory Education Cuts

chalkboard.jpg

Schools in Greenwich look set to see their annual budget cut by over £24million by 2019 – the equivalent of losing at least 671 teachers. This would have a devastating impact on local schools and would lead to increased class sizes, loss of school staff and cuts to extra-curricular activities and resources.

This is effectively a tax on our children’s future.

Please sign below to oppose these latest cuts to hit Greenwich children.

We have too many children from disadvantaged families and therefore in need of support in the borough of Greenwich and so we cannot take cuts that will be bound to reduce teacher numbers, as proposed by central government.

Ive already experienced the impact of cuts at my daughter’s school – Thomas Tallis – parents are expected to purchase books for 6th form courses, this did not happen when my older children were at the school. The impact of the proposed cuts will only worsen the situation and reduce the opportunities for children at Greenwich schools

Say no to education cuts , say yes to defence spending cuts. (Whoops)

This is an absolute scandal. School resources are already stretched catastrophically thin and a whole generation is losing out especially the vulnerable who need extra support.
