The campaign for the 178 Bus continues

bus_178_meeting_oct_2015003.jpgThe campaign to get the 178 Bus reinstated for residents in Eltham and Kidbrooke continues.

Clive chaired a meeting last night organised by local residents to give them the chance to quiz local GLA member Len Duval, Berkeley Homes, TfL and Greenwich Council about plans to reinstate the route.

Berekely Homes revealed that there was nothing now stopping TfL from re-routing the 178 to follow the B16 route through the new Kidbrooke Village.  Both Clive and Len called on the Council to work together to get the route back as soon as possible.

“This problem has been allowed to continue for far too long” says Clive.  “Tonight we have heard about people finding it difficult to get to hospital, children struggling to get to schools and others facing difficulties getting to work.   It is simply not acceptable to let these problems continue.  The Council and TfL must sort this out as a matter of urgency.”
