Our local food bank is providing a vital service for the most vulnerable in our society. They are currently facing unprecedented demand on their services and they need all our help.
Middle Park and Sutcliffe ward have been collecting donations and buying much-needed supplies which they deliver directly to the food bank. If you would like to make a direct donation then email David Hearst at spicerdavid@hotmail.com .
To help the ward we are auctioning two beautiful printed and framed fabrics from the Radical Tea Towel company. The one shown here is a beautiful art deco poster illustrating the song sheet of “The March of the Women,” a song dedicated to suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst. It became the music for the women’s suffrage movement throughout the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
