After a popular campaign by local residents, Clive Efford MP, the local councillors and CAMRA, Greenwich Council has today announced that the bid to turn the Dutch House Pub into a 24 hour Drive-Through McDonalds has been rejected.

Commenting, Clive Efford, said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved in this campaign.  The Dutch House is a vital community asset and this was underlined by the people who stood up to save it for the second time. McDonalds could appeal to the Planning Inspector within six months, so we need to be prepared for another fight.”
