Small Business Saturday is a grass-roots campaign that encourages people to shop locally and support small and independent businesses in the local community. It helps local small businesses link together, highlights their vital role in local communities and creates a buzz about entrepreneurship and people starting out.

There is no doubt that small and independent businesses in this part of London make a vital contribution to our community, add to the character of the town and are a source of local jobs. However, it is clear that conditions are still very challenging for businesses of every size, which is why Clive wants to hear from all businesses, large and small.

Events like this are important as they give Clive the opportunity to listen to the views of local businesses which can then be used to help develop and guide future policies.  The event also gives businesses the opportunity to come together to network and share advice and experience.  The University has kindly offered to provide light refreshments after the event to allow time for networking.

If you would like to come then just go to www.cliveefford.org.uk/businessforum  and register your name and the number of guests you would like to bring along.  You will also find a map showing the location of the event.
