Clive has expressed his disappointment at the Planning Inspector’s decision to allow a planning application for a betting shop in Odeon Parade near Well Hall roundabout in Eltham which had previously been turned down by the local authority.

“The Council turned down this application after a number of objections from local residents” explained Clive.  “It is clear that local people neither want nor need another betting shop and I am disappointed that the Planning Inspector has chosen to ignore local people in this way.”

“In my role as the shadow minister for sports and gambling I have made it clear that a Labour Government will give local authorities the necessary power to refuse applications like this if they wish to do so.”
