It was standing room only at Clive’s meeting to give residents opportunity to have their say on the future of the town centre.

Greenwich Council has recently been successful in securing funding from Transport for London to develop and implement a major scheme to improve Eltham High Street, making it more attractive for residents and visitors, whilst also helping local business to grow.

This is in addition to plans to introduce other improvements in Eltham that will include a new cinema and restaurant which, subject to the planning process, should open its doors to the public in 2017.  This is an exciting time for our High Street and an opportunity to ensure that Eltham continues to have a vibrant and high-quality town centre.

The Council is currently preparing a public consultation on the proposals and Clive was keen that as many local residents as possible are given the opportunity to take part.  That is why he organised the meeting at St Marys community centre so that they could give their views to the people to running the consultation.
