Clive Efford MP
Clive joined with local residents at a protest this morning calling for TfL to provide a new pedestrian crossing across Westhorne Avenue near the Clifton’s roundabout.
A Tesco Express opened next to the Clifton Petrol Station a few years ago and this has led to many people – and in particular schoolchildren – having to cross the busy and dangerous Westhorne Avenue near to its junction with the roundabout.
Clive says: “This is clearly a very dangerous place to cross this busy road. I would like TfL to come here and talk to local residents and see for themselves the risks that people – particularly children after school – are taking to get to the new shop. Other roads at this junction have crossings and I do not see why we could not get one here.”
