Clive Efford MP
Clive we on hand for the grand unveiling of the newly-refurbished Red Lion in Shooters Hill. The pub has just undergone a £290,000 revamp transforming it into a social hub for the community.
After extensive renovations, the pub in Red Lion Place now boasts a new kitchen and dining area in the style of a classic British pub with a few modern touches.
Clive says “We really must start to properly value pubs like this which are vital asserts to the local community. I congratulate the pub’s manager James Jones, who is clearly very passionate about turning The Red Lion into a social hub for the local community.”
During the event Mr Jones also presented a cheque for £250 to local children’s hospice Demelza. With one of its hospices located in Eltham, Demelza provides specialist care for ill babies, children and young people who have-life limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
