Clive_parliament_school_cuts.jpgClive has condemned massive cuts in local schools’ budgets planned by the Government over the next five years.

Clive told the House of Commons in a debate on school funding that the Tories had promised that the amount of money for every child in school would not be cut, but according to the Government’s own figures 74 out of 77 schools in Greenwich are now facing cuts.  Across the borough, schools look set to see their annual budget cut by over £20 million by 2019 – the equivalent of losing 554 teachers.
