Your chance to help our local food banks

Our local food bank is providing a vital service for the most vulnerable in our society. They are currently facing unprecedented demand for their services and they need all our help. Middle Park and Sutcliffe ward have been collecting donations and buying much-needed supplies which they deliver directly to the food bank.  If you would like to make a direct donation then email David Hearst at .

To help the ward, we are auctioning two beautiful printed-and-framed fabrics from the Radical Tea Towel company. The first, shown above, is a striking picture of the famous Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. It became an iconic landmark for LGBT rights and equality after a police raid in 1969 led to riots.

Just email your bid to Make sure your bid is higher than the current bid shown beneath the image above and that you include the word Stonewall in the subject line of your email, together with your name and address. Bidding closes at midday on Monday 25 May.

All money raised by these sales will be paid directly to the Middle Park food bank fundraising.

The framed picture measures 50cm by 70cm.  We will make a safe delivery to the winning bidder.
